Overview
First we have a daily team standup where the team discusses the plan for the day and people have the opportunity to ask for help. Next you start work on whatever has been assigned to you. Throughout the day their will be various meetings that can include interesting speaker talks organised by HR.
Skills
Yes, I've been able to develop my existing programming skills as well learn new programming technologies. Furthermore, my teamwork and communication skills have developed tremendously, I am now much less afraid to approach people for help/general conversation.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was assigned to a project that will have a significant impact on UBS if it is not completed.
Support & Guidance
A lot. HR call weekly to check in, plus everyone on my team were always happy to help in any way they could. Also had a weekly meeting with one of my team members where I could ask ANY question without fear of being judged.
Culture
Supportive. There is a lot of opportunities to grow and these are encouraged throughout the company culture.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my internship tremendously and will miss working here when it is over.
