Overview
Working within risk finance on google cloud platform, developing tools and utilising gcp products. Involves meeting product owners and stakeholders, learning how to use certain tech and developing with that tech.
Skills
Enhanced my presentation skills and improved my technical knowledge. Learnt how to talk to stakeholders from a business perspective.
Responsibilities
The tools we developed were actually things hsbc wanted to put into production and not just training exercises.
Support & Guidance
Received lots of support from within risk with staff on call to answer any questions or deal with any issues.
Culture
Very communication based with lots of friendly employees who are always happy to make time for you.
Your Impressions
Really good internship, exceeded expectations. Lots of work to do so there’s never a dull day. Team were really nice and helpful.
Yes
Just be yourself, you don’t necessarily need to be technical cause lots of that stuff can be learned. In general just be interested in technology and display this to the interviewers.
