Overview
A few days a week on a placement within a given team. The rest is split between a business project where you can make a difference inside the business, a charity project where you can make a difference within the community, and loads of different learning opportunities and development sessions.
Skills
There's been a massive chance to improve loads of skills and pick up new ones, especially how to make a difference while working from home. The more you put in, the more you'll get out.
Responsibilities
Yes, there was plenty of opportunities to get involved and make a difference. That being said, they didn't give you so much responsibility it was overwhelming.
Support & Guidance
We've had a dedicated buddy the entire time and a whole section of staff dedicated to helping the interns and grads in Early Careers. Everyone has had all the time in the world to stop and help.
Culture
It was hard to get a complete feel from working at home but the culture was lovely - everyone had time for people, and everyone wants to help each other and work together.
Your Impressions
I had a great time and I'd wholeheartedly recommend it, even if you're not entirely sure banking is for you.
Yes
I would just say throw yourself into it. There's loads of opportunities to grow personally and build yourself a future career and a network but you will only get out what you are prepared to put in.
