Overview
On a day-to-day basis we got to work on our CSR and business projects as well as get involved in other development sessions. Twice a week we were on placement in our designated teams to work on projects with them and get involved in team meetings. This gives you good exposure into Finance and Natwest working culture.
Skills
Throughout my internship I improved my presentation skills and was able to develop my ability to network online and get involved in project support.
Responsibilities
In my specific internship I was not given a lot of responsibilities, and rather had to seek out tasks/leadership opportunities to take on. But it really depends upon the team in which you get placed. In terms of working on the CSR and business project, that did require quite a few responsibilities from everyone in the team.
Support & Guidance
There was a lot of support from our assigned Peer Buddies to help us throughout our journey of the internship and that helped us with the applications for the graduate scheme. I would say there was relatively much support from everyone at Natwest.
Culture
The company culture was very welcoming. It was very easy to get integrated into the team, the internship and the wider Natwest community.
Your Impressions
It was quite an enjoyable internship because of the diversity of the tasks we were given to complete. On top of that we also had addition social events and other online events that we could join to engage with the wider Natwest community.
