Skills
Yes, use of Arups software packages and concrete column deisgn
Responsibilities
I was given responsibility for initial checking of drawings and design of elements that was then reviewed with a senior engineer checking the comments and values were sensible.
Support & Guidance
Across the whole structures team everyone is willing to help when they are free. The guidance is generally good.
Culture
Very good, everyone was very friendly and several people reached out on my first day to say hello. This was very reassuring as the majority of the work has been remote.
Your Impressions
A lot, the company culture is very positive and as a result I would be very happy to join the company.
Yes
It is not all about the grade you have and the university you are studying at. The company culture looks for a well rounded individual. If you don't have any volunteering/charitable work I would recommend doing some to widen your experiences.
