Overview
Intern Analyst in the Credit Risk department. Fell under the Country and Portfolio Team and the ESG Risk Team. From the CAP perspective, I conducted a lot of sovereign research on specific regions (Bloomberg, Moody's, S&P) and interpreted these findings in terms of long-term risk and exposure for Nomura. Similar research projects were involved for the ESG team. Modelling scorecards, country heatmaps using available data.
Skills
Developed Excel and Powerpoint skills on a daily basis. I was also involved in a lot of presentations in front of different teams which helped me work on my public-speaking skills.
Responsibilities
Yes, absolutely. I tried to make my mark from the start and the team was extremely receptive to my ideas.
Support & Guidance
Nomura organised speaker sessions to help us get an insight into different departments at the firm. The HR reps were always on hand for our questions.
Culture
Inclusive, diverse.
