Overview
My role varies on a day-to-day basis. Often it involves a lot of admin, logging and updating records, creating schedules, planning events. It can also include being involved in the recruitment process and conducting interviews, leading meetings, distributing payslips, creating the quarterly news letter etc.. This tends to vary and rotate monthly.
Skills
I have learned so many new skills since being at Faurecia. Some of these include confidence, resilience, time-management, initiative, problem solving, and team work. I have grown so much since working at Faurecia, I am leaving the business much more mature, self aware and equipped with the skills for the working world.
Responsibilities
Yes. I was given the same responsibility as my colleagues. I was eased into these responsibilities and they increased as I became more skilled and comfortable with managing my workload. I always had support from my colleagues when completing my tasks but as the year went one, I needed it less and less. The more you put into your placement the more you get out of it. Creating a good relationship with your team and manager gives you a great support system and insight to how your department functions.
Support & Guidance
I received a huge amount of support and guidance. I was given a hand over from the previous student. I also had the support from my colleagues in the department throughout my time. They were always there on hand for my queries and gave me extra support when I required it.
Culture
The company culture is very hard working. There's a job to get done and everybody makes them self flexible to ensure that this happens.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my placement. I feel a valued and respected member in the company. I have learned so many skills from my experience which I will use for the future.
Yes
Research the company to understand the values Faurecia hold. This isn't a placement where you can take the back seat and relax. You are a valued worker in the company and are expected to get the job done. All the students here have an important role with responsibilities that are essential to keep the business running.
