Overview
Working in the Everyday Banking Team, I would work in AGILE and SPRINT methods to deliver on key projects for the internship. This included a content gap analysis for missing website content across all 3 Lloyds branded banks ( Lloyds Bank, Halifax and Bank of Scotland). I also worked on a competitor research project detailing services other companies offer that Lloyds could focus on relating to Fin-techs, Post-Covid support and online banking services. I would also work on the monthly creation of pay-day emails, helping to support and educate customers on ways to save and reduce debt when they receive their pay-check, working alongside external agencies to make sure the emails drafted were up to the appropriate standards and mailed to the correct people.
Skills
Absolutely. I've learnt about the use of agencies and publicists in the marketing field and the distribution of work between agencies and in-house teams. I've also learnt how to deal with agencies who do not adhere to the relevant guidelines set by Lloyds Banking. Conducting the content gap analysis and gaining insights into the high degree of market research and segmentation of customers helped me to deepen my marketing acumen in ways I had not anticipated before. I've also learnt a lot about Fin-techs and the way start-ups are impacting the financial services industry.
Responsibilities
All the tasks given were independent with final approvals given by managers after proofing, line managers were not controlling and gave me full support and flexibility.
Support & Guidance
I was fully supported throughout, and never felt scared about communicating if I was struggling with work at all.
Culture
Incredibly open, friendly and communicative with no worries about speaking to any of the senior managers throughout.
