The Role
A great place to do your placement year. You get to be exposed to real life projects, work alongside experienced employees, and get a chance to learn new skills and enhance existing ones. Also there is a lot of social activities both intern and employee ones.
I am sure any other student would feel themselves part of the family, however I am a bit odd and not very sociable. My team is great and I am very lucky to have met them and worked with them. If you get a chance to work in this team you will be very lucky.
My superviser and my mananger were always available for me to ask questions, and ask for guidance, in adition other team members were very happy to help me out. In fact I learned alot from them
I always had the right amount of work. And what is great was my manager and superviser made sure that I was doing the work that I wanted to do
I was given real life projects that had to me finished by a certain time and bug free.
I have learned alot of valuable IT skills relevant to my future job, as well as other skills such as working in a team and desision making which will be very helpful in every day life as well as career development.
The Company
Very interesting to work there to the point that I could not stop working even when it was time to go. Great atmosphere
The company has a very long history as an intern placement and therefore every thing was very smoothly organised
I was sent to courses, as well as advised on taking some which were relevant to my job, but I think most of my skill development came from coaching and training provided by my colleagues
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
The future employment prospects are very very appealing, but I don't think I have a chance to get it since I do not think I am very well suited for the company. I lack communication
