Overview
I worked on a summer-long research project related to one of the sectors my team covered. In addition, completed a variety of different trainings.
Skills
Developed content knowledge in the field of my research project, and some general finance skills in the trainings.
Responsibilities
I was not. Full-time analysts were reluctant to delegate work to interns, and therefore I did not get a great flavour of what the actual daily work entails.
Support & Guidance
Everyone was very welcoming and willing to take time for introductions and sharing their experiences. The analyst guiding my project was also very supportive.
Culture
Very positive and welcoming culture.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed meeting new people and getting the experience of working in the City, but in terms of work tasks it was quite underwhelming.
Yes
Try to work in a small team so that you get more responsibility as an intern.
