Responsibilities
As the internship progressed I was given more responsibility once I had shown I could be trusted to get the job done accurately, although there is always someone to check your work. As people took vacation time, more responsibility was given to the interns.
Support & Guidance
The team were very helpful, always willing to answer any questions I had. We were assigned a buddy from the team as well as another buddy from another team in Capital Markets.
Culture
General atmosphere was hard to gauge as I was working from home, but I get the feeling that Citi is starting to care more about their employees than some of its competitors.
Your Impressions
The projects I worked on were very interesting, with a lot of new things to learn and get involved with.
Yes
Don't force yourself to try to be what you think they are looking for. As long as you are genuinely interested in the sector (and can show it some way), then just be authentic. Enthusiasm and work ethic go a long way.
