The Role
I very much enjoyed the placement, every one that i met was great and i had enough work and responsibility to be kept interested
I feel very valued as i am an equal part of the team
When i needed support it was avaliable
For the first 6 months i was very busy, due to the credit crisis i have been less busy in the 2nd half
I was the only person in charge of finding people to translate into the languages i was allocated
I have developed presentation skills that i can take back to help in my final year
The Company
Very relaxed and causual
The placement student is allocated an equal part of the teams work, in the sense of what work to give me it was very organised
There have been a lot of meetings and inductions. There are also a lot of online cources that are available
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I have been given the opportunity to come back if i like
The Culture
The social scene was very good, a lot of the office meet outside of work.
The cost of living is quite expencive
Slough is right next to london so the night life is very good
The office workers would socialise out of work including playing football
