Overview
- Working on projects from your division - Attending meetings from your division - General and division-specific training - Working on your Aon intern project - Catch-up meetings with peers and mentors
Skills
Developed a lot of technical knowledge surrounding the (re)insurance industry. Gained experience into working in a corporate environment, including Aon's wider goals as a firm.
Responsibilities
Maximum responsibility I experienced was creating some deliverables that would be used either internally or with clients. Potentially there is scope for more.
Support & Guidance
A lot. There were general training sessions, division-specific training sessions, weekly meetings with your mentor, peer-coaching sessions with fellow interns. And everyone's mostly free to just hop on a call and run through things with you - whether fellow intern or someone experienced at Aon.
Culture
Very friendly and welcoming.
Your Impressions
Very much!
Yes
It would be useful to reach out and talk to people if it's hard to learn in detail what Aon does in the division area you're applying for.
