Overview
Shadowing Control Officers and supporting them with a variety of tasks such as PowerPoints or Excel sheets
Skills
I learnt how to use Excel. I developed my time management skills and presentation making skills.
Responsibilities
Yes. I was given some individual and collaborative tasks to do that helped me better understand the Business Control Team
Support & Guidance
I could generally ask the person who assigned the task to me for help if necessary. I only met my line manager once and never worked with him as I was moved around a lot within the team.
Culture
Everyone was really kind and engaging. I loved attending the Black Connections' meetings in particular.
Your Impressions
I mostly enjoyed the internship as all the employees were really nice and the work was insightful. I would definitely go back.
Yes
Take advantage of the connections groups as early as possible and reach out to senior people.
