Skills
This placement has been as excellent opportunity to develop new technical and soft skills. Design-for-manufacture, manufacturing supply chain, engineering design standards, just to name a few.
Responsibilities
Once I had a bit of stability in the role, I was afforded as many opportunities to take on responsibility for projects/tasks as desired. With repeat success providing further opportunities.
Support & Guidance
Support and guidance were excellent on the placement. We had 2 professional mentors within the program (one within, and one outside of your field), a 6-month development course. Additionally, we had constant support within the engineering teams, and no one was averse to answering an swarm of questions.
Culture
The company culture/atmosphere was great, within engineering. There is a very cohesive team atmosphere, and feels very non-competitive, yet there is still chance for advancement.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed this placement greatly, although it was an anomaly being held during the kick-off of lockdown/COVID.
Yes
Great organization to work with, excellent benefits, and chances to work internationally. Any placement is an excellent chance to expand ones experience before graduation.
