Overview
My role was to conduct research on vulnerable customers amongst members to inform ABI policy. This meant interviewing members and stakeholders, writing up calls, and presenting wider research and findings through a report and presentation.
Skills
Through this internship, I have developed my understanding of the field of Insurance. This includes areas such as policy and research and how companies such as ABI function in these spaces. Through the research I conducted, I have also gained a greater insight into themes such as vulnerable customers and how this intersects with Insurance.
Responsibilities
I was given an appropriate amount of responsibility. The workload was good and has overall developed my skill set significantly.
Support & Guidance
I received a good amount of support from my internship. My line manager was accessible and very responsive to any questions or needs.
Culture
The company culture was very friendly, open, and supportive. There were many opportunities to chat with a diverse range of individuals across teams which aided me in understanding ABI more.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my placement and have learnt much from this experience through not only the work but also the various teams and wider company culture. The position met my expectations well.
