Overview
I received Training for my role, was set projects weekly on range of topics, including liability management and actuarial valuations and did a variety of client work like calculating transfer values for members and setting up accounting and other documents.
Skills
I have developed my Excel, presentation and communication skills. I have learnt how to use in house software such as Calm and Visualise.
Responsibilities
I was given the responsibility of handling some work for various clients. I helped my team with a quiz round one week and got to give my presentations to people at a variety of levels in the Company.
Support & Guidance
I received a personal Buddy for my internship who helped signpost people I could ask for help as well as giving useful advice themselves. I was given a specific team who were all wonderful and very welcoming.
Culture
The company culture is very inclusive and inviting. The general atmosphere really friendly and everyone through all levels of the company are really welcoming and enthusiastic.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my placement and look forward to pursing a career in this field. It was a really amazing opportunity that I am so glad I was able to do it.
Yes
That asking questions is a good thing and that everyone is really friendly. That showing your knowledge is good but admitting when you don't know something can also be fine. That they will not regret applying because it is an amazing place.
