The Role
Very enjoyable, good welcoming environment. Friendly and supportive colleagues. Great independence.
Some good recognition given. Would've appreciated being relied on some more.
Very supportive always encouraging to ask questions and very happy to help.
Work heavily fluctuated. Which was nice at times as I could adopt my own projects at quieter times.
Dealt with end customers and partners and many people across the organisation worldwide. Given responsibility in trust of dealing with sensitive information and also deadlines. Work had an impact on the productivity of the team, sales performance and customer service.
Good experience in a large organisation and methods of communication, department functions. Highlighted well the importance of auditing and sensitivity of data. Good environment for building team work skills.
The Company
Very close and friendly team. Great facilities that allow better communication and encourage social interaction.
Some lack of contact mainly because of indirect contacts. However overall very well organised.
Two week handover with the previous student to train on the job. Provided Lean Six Sigma course - in class. Very good online courses available for anyone to use at their own time - even remotely. Training provided following any changes in job role/responsibility. Again always happy to help if any problems on the job.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
IP students can have an advantage towards a role if there is a vacancy at the time of graduation etc.
The Culture
Very good, similar to being at university with there being so many students!
Rent can be fairly expensive with it being in the London area but not pushing £100 a week. Uxbridge/Hammer is ok for a few drinks. London much better but can be expensive out of happy hour. Plenty of other things to do too in London obviously - and can be done cheaply. Travel is very cheap with a railcard/oyster too!
Great in London. Not very good at all in Uxbridge. Nightbuses run all night bakck from london and costs £1.30!
Quite a lot of charity work opportunities. Students usually devise a charity team.
