The Role
I enjoyed most of the tasks as they came with quite a bit of responsibility although some were a bit repetitive and I won't exactly miss!
Found it very easy to settle in and always felt like part of the team
My line manager was always very helpful and eager to make sure I was getting the most out of the placement
There were times at the start of the placement when there wasn't much work to do but I got involved in other areas of the business so these became more infrequent.
As mentioned above some of the tasks had a quite a high level of responsibility which I enjoyed.
I have definitely improved my IT skills and have a better understanding of a working environment and what kind of job I'd like to do in the future
The Company
Usually most people were quite cheerful.
Felt a bit cut off from the rest of the placement students as I was the only one in my office, but I think this was good thing as it felt more like a proper job and not just an extension of uni
I had a few training workshops and there were thousands of online training courses you could do.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
There's no graduate scheme at the offices where I worked but there are potentially opportunities at the offices around London although I'm not sure I want to move down there yet
The Culture
There weren't any other placement students but I've been on a few nights out with work colleagues
Depends where you go, some of the bars/clubs are expensive as they are in most city centres but there are plenty of places to go if you are on a tight budget
Had many great nights out!
There were a few nights out and I played golf a few times with some work colleagues
