Overview
Support the team in the origination (marketing documents, pitchbooks) and execution (project management and reporting) of ECM projects across Europe. Wide variety of products covered: IPOs, rights issues, placings / accelerated bookbuild offerings, equity-linked products (convertibles, structured equity); industry-agnostic team. Day-to-day tasks include drafting pitchbooks / financial analyses, updating reporting documents, take notes and write summaries of key transaction events for the wider deal team and / or the client.
Skills
Key skills learned include: -Workload management as we are often staffed on various projects at once, which helps us develop our multi-tasking skills as well as our sense of priorities -Verbal and written communication: had to interact many times with senior bankers or by email with the client -Attention to detail when producing deliverables Overall a great, steep learning curve
Responsibilities
High level of responsibility given to interns from day one: I was invited to client calls from the beginning and was assigned challenging and engaging tasks throughout the internship.
Support & Guidance
Great support from team members, both juniors and seniors - the team is always ready to answer your questions and give background when you are assigned a task.
Culture
Great culture - everyone is very approachable, the team is 100% dedicated to its clients.
Your Impressions
Excellent experience - truly gives a view of what the job is like, great culture, engaging conversations.
Yes
Be prepared and knowledgeable when applying, put forward your best qualities and remain yourself throughout the process - there is not one "typical investment banker", so let people see your personality.
