Overview
My role was to work on a programming project. This involved mainly Python programming and team meetings (daily standups, weekly sprint plans) and daily catchups with my mentor.
Skills
Learnt financial knowledge, specifically in FX trading Improved Python programming skills Learnt and improved C++ programming skills
Responsibilities
I had an independent project to work on (with guidance and supervision of my mentor and manager), so there is a fair amount of responsibility. There is also an expectation of sharing your updates on a daily basis with the team, so some daily progress is expected.
Support & Guidance
A lot of support/guidance from my two mentors and manager, and other software engineers from other teams too,
Culture
Very open, collaborative work culture, with many events and activities which are free to attend. Easy to network and meet other engineers in the company.
