Overview
My role as vacation student allowed me to assist the planning team on various tasks, from funding applications, to editing planning statements. On a day to day basis, I would attend meetings with different colleagues and stakeholders, read and answer emails, complete important research, and make notes/create documents outlining my research findings.
Skills
I have developed my verbal and written communication skills, particularly through using Teams to conduct and attend meetings. I have also developed in confidence.
Responsibilities
Yes, I felt my team really trusted me to manage my own time and complete tasks on time. I was given responsibilities such as contacting global colleagues about project input, and creating presentations.
Support & Guidance
My team were always there for me and I felt I could ask questions whenever I felt necessary
Culture
The atmosphere was the best part of the experience. Everyone was so welcoming and easy to talk to!

I really enjoyed my placement. There was a wide of range of projects to be involved with and I got to meet a lot of lovely people!
