Overview
9 week program consisting of 1-week rotations on various Sales, Trading or Structuring desks, during which you are expected to complete relevant projects/ trade pitches. A lot of networking and shadowing employees on a day-to-day basis.
Skills
Yes! I learnt a lot about various asset classes and how to evaluate the risks associated with them.
Responsibilities
Yes. The level of responsibility you are given depends highly on your level of proactivity.
Support & Guidance
There is a lot of support given in regards to learning foreign concepts, however you are expected to attempt challenging tasks on your own before seeking help
Culture
Everyone is very willing to help out, generally very positive atmosphere. It is a very faced paced environment so can be stressful at times
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed the rotational nature of it as this allows interns to get a broad range of exposure to different roles within Global Markets. However, I felt that 1 week rotations were slightly too short and felt very rushed.
Yes
It is important to show enthusiasm and understanding about the markets and asset classes.
