Placement Student Review

Placement students at TPP get the opportunity to work alongside all teams, assisting in areas such as recruitment, marketing and finance and work on an individual project of their choice in any area of the business. Responsibilities include: General office administration, Managing supplier accounts, Planning company events, Supporting the marketing team, Supporting the recruitment team, Booking travel and accommodation, Managing company merchandise, Dealing with invoices

During my time here, I have been able to develop my leadership, communication and time-management skills to varying degrees through the tasks that I did on a daily basis. It has also helped to improve my adaptability to different events as they arise.

Yes. Throughout my placement, I was given a lot of responsibility which gave me the opportunity to work closely with various key people in the company and refine my skills. This allowed me to have autonomy and make decisions that made me feel like a valued employee and my opinions mattered.

There was a lot of help from my team members and from other teams in the company. I was always encouraged to ask for help and clarify things, and people were always willing to help and provide necessary feedback.

The general atmosphere was friendly - there were a lot of ways to get involved and also get to know colleagues more. From various activities such as cooking, pub Fridays, yoga, etc. there were different ways to engage.

I enjoyed my placement and was able to learn new employability skills while developing my current skills. It also allowed me to grow on a personal, deep level and gave me an idea of what I want career-wise.

Make sure your CV is up to date and be yourself throughout the application process and in the job as well. Be open to doing things you haven't done as this is a good way of learning things and picking up new skills.
