Overview
Everyday I would shadow a current associate; joining calls on the project she was working on. I also got to talk individually to people about their career paths.
Skills
I have developed a better insight into consultancy and improved on my communication skills as I was tasked with giving a presentation to a few senior associates.
Business Insight
It has really helped me better understand what a role in consultancy entails on and in the specific processes of how you promote into specific competencies.
Culture
Super friendly - it is clearly really people focused which meant that everyone I talked to was happy to talk, helpful at answering questions and willing to give good advice.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it more than I thought I would considering its virtual nature. The associate I was shadowing was lovely and the people I met helped me gain more clarity about where I want my career path to go.
Yes
Even though the application process seems really long for only a three day insight, it really is worth it to get on the program and learn about the intricacies of the company.
