Overview
Liase with finance teams to determine our monthly revenues and costs and ensure month end processes go smoothly. Make financial reports for senior management based on data from Cognos.
Skills
I have gained a great understanding of how a business functions and what a finance department actually does. Along with this I have developed many soft skills such as communication and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of responsibility both within my role and externally as we have intern projects that give us exposure to all departments of the business
Support & Guidance
I had plenty of support from the intern manager, my personal manager, and a mentor which was assigned to me.
Culture
Very casual and friendly, always felt welcome to clarify any issues or doubts
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed the internship and it is commendable that us interns gained so much exposure, experience and had a great time during the weirdest and most challenging year of our lives due to covid.

Do not stress about not knowing what the business does as it is complicated due to its nature.
