Overview
The first few weeks involved a thorough introduction to the different PepsiCo channels and insight into the FMCG industry as a whole. This followed 3 weeks in the field which were all different to each other. The final week offered more learnings. Alongside all the information given, a variety of group tasks & challenges were set throughout.
Skills
Yes plenty. Sales skills from field work especially. This built up my confidence and ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. Due to the variety of tasks my ability to generate ideas quickly and turn this into a coherent presentation has improve massively.
Responsibilities
Yes. One week we were tasked with cold-call selling Pipers crisps to independent establishments across London. We were the first point of contact for the brand.
Support & Guidance
A huge amount. Our supervisors Luke, Elisha & Holly were available round the clock. They would take on and solve any issue the interns had. It was extremely helpful.
Culture
The culture stood out a lot. It was very evident early on that the company really cared about its workers, people, community and wellbeing. A lovely atmosphere to be apart of which makes coming to work something to look forward to.
