Overview
The virtual insight day gave me valuable information and insights into the Bank of England. Not only it was talked about how an internship could look like, but also about how life at BoE looks like in general, what one could expect when starting to work there. Furthermore, I was given useful information and tipps on the application process, which really provided me with the confidence that I can maybe actually make it, if I use those tipps.
Skills
I learned what they look for and how to outline this in my application. Furthermore, I realised, that if I manage to move further in the application process, it is important to show confidence, as your opposite will feel if you are not. Lastly I understood how important it is to follow financial news, reading the Financial Times and turning on Google news alerts.
Business Insight
It was very useful and motivated me more to apply for a BoE internship.
Culture
Th insight day made me feel very comfortable and the people who were speaking seemed truly approachable, which I liked. Therefore, I believe the general atmosphere / company culture is open.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed the experience. I believe everything was really useful and insightful. However, the bit about societies could have been a bit shorter from my point of view.
