Responsibilities
Significant responsibility. I ran a workstream of 15 colleagues, an external event and was part of a high profile internal review. Provided with daily challenge and lots of autonomy. However, I think the extent of this varies dependent on business area and/or management.
Support & Guidance
Lots of support and guidance. On the job reassurance and constructive criticism. Significant support for personal development too, given lots of time to develop skills within working hours.
Culture
Really supportive and inclusive environment, very welcoming to career early starters. However, a degree of bureaucracy still remains.
Your Impressions
It was a great experience, gained lots of exposure to senior stakeholders and a variety of the Bank’s operations. Worked with great colleagues.
