Overview
Working in a team on various building designs for different clients. From using 3d modelling software to assist in the design of mechanical systems in buildings, to using thermal analysis software, a wide variety of software is used to assist in the building services design of present day projects
Skills
I worked alongside many industry professionals to complete my jobs, naturally gaining an insight of the industry whilst improving my ability to work in a team and co-ordinate. Many of the tasks required using my own initiative rather than asking for help.
Responsibilities
Much of the tasks were under supervision, however it did allow for me to use my own initiative in designing tasks. Important work would be checked by a senior to check it was of sufficient quality and followed their quality checks. However some was done individually, giving a decent amount of responsibility and freedom in how they were completed
Support & Guidance
A sufficient amount which varied from task to task
Culture
Very relaxed and casual. I didn't feel pressure or felt rushed in completing any tasks and had the freedom to work at my own pace
Your Impressions
To a large extent, it provided a very good opportunity for me and has given me employable skills whilst i work on meaningful work in a diverse and friendly team
