    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

    • Yes I was. I had to work with 5 other interns about how the company could adapt in order to move into a more hybrid working model. I had to present in front of the CEO and answer many questions during the presentation. Outside of this, I was given many daily tasks with deadlines and was welcomed into meetings.

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

    • I had lots of support. The internship was through SEO London, so I could always contact them if I had any problems at all. I also frequently asked my colleagues about how they started working in Insurance, and they guided me of the necessary steps that they took.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

    • As a result of Covid, there were not many people physically in office so it was a bit quite. But when people were in office, they were jubilant and often engaged in general chit-chat.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

    • Enjoyed the placement a lot. Was able to network with many other people and gain a deeper understanding into the Insurance industry. Also allowed me to get out of my comfort zone through pushing me to present in front of many people.

    • Make sure that you network with as many people that you can. Always ask for more work if your current work has finished. Don't be shy to ask questions.
