Overview
Role involves almost everything you’d associate with business management. It is a fantastic insight into a working business on a global scale. Whatever you put into your placement at enterprise, you get back and more.
Skills
After only 3 months so far at Enterprise, I have consolidated so much of what I have learnt in my first two years at uni. It also must be said that there is a lot of driving involved at times, but the hours you get in the office are incredibly valuable. You learn to chase debt, build repore with local businesses and develop in your sales.
Responsibilities
From your first month, you are given different roles within the branch to manage. Wether it be controlling costs, or managing progressive business, you really feel like you are an important member of the team. You are also trusted to drive every vehicle from standard to luxury cars all the way to big vans.
Support & Guidance
You are given a mentor from your first week, who helps you through your placement year. The talent development team are excellent at checking in and making sure you are settling in to the role. Sometimes the mentors assigned are difficult to contact, but your branch managers are always there and are very understanding that you are just an intern.
Culture
Very progressive and friendly atmosphere, especially around sales.
Your Impressions
Very much enjoying it so far - first month or so was difficult to adjust to the speed of the business but once you are on board it is a very enjoyable environment.
Yes
You have to be very efficient in everything you do as the business is very fast paced compared to other experiences at part time jobs you may of had
