Overview
I worked 9-5 Monday - Friday. My days usually started with meetings with my line manager to review tasks to do. We had training for any new tasks and then we worked on them. I was able to have many meeting with different people across the team to learn about their roles and backgrounds.
Skills
Learned a lot more about financial auditing and some accounting terms. Developed my excel skills, was able to collaborate with professionals.
Responsibilities
Yes, I always had tasks to do and some training to do when there wasn't any new work. My manager was always available to give me some more work. The controls I worked on were very meaningful and essential for the company, I learned a lot about AstraZeneca from the internship.
Support & Guidance
My manager and all the IAS colleagues were always happy to help and offer support
Culture
The culture at AstraZeneca was amazing and really supportive. As a student, working in a multinational company I felt very included as part of the team
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed this internship and would 100% recommend anyone to apply as you gain a lot of transferable skills. I only wish it was longer than 6 weeks
