Overview
My role involved me with working with internal customers to ensure their HR application was up and running. I would need to speak to external suppliers of these applications on occasion to set up SSO connections, SFTP connections other things. A key project I was working with at Siemens was the data migration of the HR data to a new database.
Skills
i have developed my own confidence while at Siemens due to the interactions with all my friendly colleagues. I also learnt how to create an SSO connection using the Siemens MyID portal.
Responsibilities
I was given many applications that I had to manage, which in my opinion was quite a bit of responsibility. I was provided the help and support needed to succeed if required.
Support & Guidance
Both my managers were always patient with me. They ensured that I knew where to go if they could not provide the answers. We held daily meetings to discuss my own progress on topics which helped me to stay on task at all times.
Culture
The company culture was very friendly and welcoming. There were weekly social meetings every Wednesday which helped me to meet new members of the team which helped me whilst I was in lockdown
Your Impressions
I greatly enjoyed my time at Siemens. The team were all very friendly to me which made it much easier for me to settle in at the beginning.
