Overview
The day to day role involved working with other members of a friendly team and looking in to how much profit the trading desk had made. We looked to make sure they had made this profit whilst following regulation and without taking excessive risk
Skills
I learnt many skills in communication and networking. It was a very friendly company. I also learnt some hard skills such as dealing with excel with extremely large spread sheets and started to understand balance sheet accounting.
Responsibilities
I was given the responsibility of conducing weekly reports outlining the profit and loss for that week. I was also given daily responsibility to carry out tasks for various members of the team, and help out with month end reporting
Support & Guidance
A lot of support was given. Including a weeks training, a buddy who i could ask for help from and the whole team who were very suypportive
Culture
The company was much more open and friendly than I expected. Everyone would give up time to chat and give you advice whenever you wanted. Their values really do show strong
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and came out with a much clearer direction of what i want to do with my career

Apply early and be yourself. There is no point trying to answer like you think they would want you to answer, just give your honest opinion and work hard
