Overview
Supporting analysts with ongoing live deal work. Supplemented by additional financial modelling training and insights into the work that Barclays does.
Skills
Developed soft skills - learning best practises at work in terms of working from home, supporting clients and responding to feed back. Hard skills developed were in terms of financial modelling: LBO, DCF building.
Responsibilities
Yes - the ability to work on live deals. I was given the responsibility of dealing with the analyst presentation. Work that directly was sent to the client on a daily basis
Support & Guidance
Good support in terms of training. Given the experience was virtual, in person support was obviously limited. But team was friendly and happy to help and offer advice.
Culture
Enjoyable - a work hard culture with a desire to serve the client to the best of our ability.
Your Impressions
I did enjoy my internship. I got to work on important live deals and learn a lot about how M&A deals are done.
Yes
