Overview
I am responsible for a research project on computer graphics. I design the algorithm and do experiments to verify hypothesis. Since the project is research-oriented, my daily task is flexible and highly depends on the experiment results.
Skills
I gain deeper insights of computer graphics, especially the topics that my project is about.
Responsibilities
Yes. The project I am working on is promising. On the other hand, I don't have too much responsibility because the topic is cutting-edge and no specific goal can be expected.
Support & Guidance
Very much. My mentors provide me a lot of useful and detailed suggestions.
Culture
The atmosphere is free. As an intern, I have much space to explore things I feel interested.

Yes
My advice might only apply to research interns. Developing your own research ideas is important. Even before starting the internship, it will be better to have your own research goal.
