Overview
Supporting team members - mainly Analysts and Associates - in the everyday mansions. This included a particular attention to PowerPoint work, as well as Excel, administrative and notes.
Skills
Yes, definitely improved the hard skills in relation to PowerPoint, Excel and Factset. Understood better the banking industry's dynamics as well as the sort of relationship skills that have to e built to be able to dialogue with clients.
Responsibilities
Responsibility is limited and always depends with who you're working. In the vast majority of cases my work would have to pass through Analysts, therefore this "checkpoint" makes the responsibility limited.
Support & Guidance
Lots of independent work is required but once again it depends with who you're working. Some people are very helpful but you have to be willing to build a relationship to favour you in this terms
Culture
Great team culture, different from other IBs. Friendly environment where people are generally willing to help
Your Impressions
Unfortunately it was entirely remore therefore I feel it was a partial experience. However, still with this "partial experience" I managed to learn a lot, meet people and work on interesting work which made the overall experience very positive.
Yes
Understand well the company and industry, connect with people, have clear in mind "Why Barclays?" sort of questions, understand the core values and define how you meet them
