Overview
Completing graduate training workshops throughout the 2 years. In the first year, 3 month rotational placements in various departments. In the second year, 1 year placement in final destination (mine being networks design). Daily tasks involve assisting in design, material management and pricing of equipment using excel spreadsheets and other networking related software.
Skills
Yes, I have developed my excel skills, along with soft skills (both written and spoken clear communication). Networking design skills and cisco command line.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was given a core task/ responsibility and I had to maintain it along with helping people who needed it
Support & Guidance
Whenever I needed it I could go to my manager and tell him what was bothering me or anything I needed help with.
Culture
Generally good, however it could get really busy with projects and deadlines, thereby being less time for a new starter. People would help when they could, but you felt like everybody had a lot on their plate to really help you when you needed.
