Overview
I investigated methods to forecast the GDP growth of Emerging Market Economies. This involved coding in R and researching potential determinants of economic growth.
Skills
I gained proficiency in R over the internship. Additionally, I furthered my ability to apply econometrics and macroeconomics in practice, and developed my networking skills.
Responsibilities
I was given lots of responsibility during my internship (I was given ownership of the project and allowed to drive the approach).
Support & Guidance
I received plenty of support and guidance during the internship. I was always able (and encouraged) to draw on the expertise of colleagues to benefit my project.
Culture
The atmosphere was very relaxed and I found the culture to be incredibly welcoming and friendly.
