Overview
The job mostly involved learning new technologies and applying them in practice, we had daily meetings within the team and other UK and US interns.
Skills
I have improved both soft (communication, teamwork) and technical skills (JavaScript, React.js, SQL,...)
Responsibilities
We were given full responsibility for delivering results and had people to contact in case we needed help or got stuck. Everyone was helpful when we needed help.
Support & Guidance
The guidance was good, we were given a lot of freedom to explore whatever technology we wanted to learn about. In case we had questions, someone could always help/provide further guidance.
Culture
Since the company is US-based, there was quite a big difference between the UK and US culture, however, the atmosphere was very relaxed and the culture seemed to be nice.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed the internship quite a lot, although there was sometimes chaos, which is inevitable when there were 2 teams full of interns who are supposed to work together.
Yes
The coding challenge was not that bad, I think the company focuses a lot on the behaviour interviews where managers get to know more about you.
