Overview
Mostly general work experience and engineering experience assisting ongoing projects, with some additional tasks for development.
Skills
Learnt a lot of basic engineering skills, basic knowledge of EMC, completed EMC tests, and general office skills like Excel
Responsibilities
I was allowed to lead projects of my own during the internship, including researching, planning, testing, recruiting, and managing.
Support & Guidance
Everyone in the department was friendly and helpful, and there was always support if it was needed. A bit more structure for how to spend my time would have been even better.
Culture
Brilliant - they were friendly, helpful and respectful. As the only girl in an all-male department, I never felt out of place. Wonderful team. Flexi-hours are available so you can take days off or work from home if you want/need.
Your Impressions
It was a wonderful experience. I developed my skills and met great people. Very much enjoyed.
Yes
Be passionate and eager to learn more. If you can't answer a question in an interview, explain your thought process and give the closest answer you can. They are happy to train you but are eager to see you are willing to grow.
