    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I collaborated with stakeholders to agree project objectives and align a sensory plan. Once objectives were obtained, I would collect sensory data through panel sessions and analyse this data using statistical tools. Following statistical analysis, I issued a report including statistical interpretations of the collected data and presented this to the stakeholders.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I developed skills in communication, presentation and personal enterprise. Communication and presentation were developed due to frequent meetings with stakeholders - giving me several opportunities to express my ideas and perspectives in a clear and professional manner and explain difficult concepts in a simple and logical way. Personal Enterprise was developed as I was able to use my academic skills from university and apply them to many scenarios at work.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • At the start of my placement, I had several meetings which introduced me to each aspect of the business. This was very interesting, however, a more in depth understanding of other functions for myself and the other employees would be beneficial in ensuring that functions of the business are integrated and the company achieves their common goals. Due to covid-19, the atmosphere was quiet in the office and a lot of communication was virtual.
