Overview
Involved device testing and prototyping with data collection which was then compiled and presented.
Skills
Had a lot of opportunities to further both my professional skills as an engineer and also more personal skills such as project management, presentation skills and communication.
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of responsibility, each student is given a year long project from their team to complete during their internship at BAT.
Support & Guidance
There was always support mechanisms in place during the year for students. BAT also provides a mentor within the business for each new starter who helps you with any queries and offers an insight into the business.
Culture
The culture at the company was very friendly and open. There are always people willing to help and answer any questions you may have during your time there.
Your Impressions
I definitely enjoyed my time at BAT and being surrounded by people from a scientific background always working on new and innovative products and willing to help or share knowledge.
