Overview
Supporting across multiple workstreams on various projects. Tasks can range from developing slide decks to excel analytical work. Additionally, bid work and practice development work were also undertaken to develop skills further.
Skills
Core consultancy skills such as slide production, analytical capabilities, the ability to assess work objectively and being able to produce work to high standards with high attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Once trust was developed with individuals they begin to give you more work that supports your development further and work with greater autonomy and responsibility.
Support & Guidance
We were given mentors at the very beginning of the placement to guide us in starting our careers in the best possible way and develop skills in multiple aras.
Culture
Everybody in the company really care about your development and strong personal relationships are developed especially when you are able to go to client site and work with the teams in person and network in the evenings.
Your Impressions
Thoroughly enjoyed the placement, it is very depending on who the direct point of contact is on your projects but if your direct point of contact is a senior member and they care about your development, you have endless opportunities to learn.
Yes
Carefully consider which area of consulting you would like to experience, being placed in an area that you have no interest in can be very difficult to overcome.
