Overview
Managing the social media channels and marketing plan for the UK marketing unit. Liaising with dealerships across the UK & Ireland, to support them with their marketing task.
Skills
Adobe creative software, such as premiere pro, photoshop and indesign. Presentation skills. Social media management and campaign management. Marketing plan development.
Responsibilities
Everyday was different at Volvo Penta and that meant that each day came with new responsibilities. You are treated like a member of the team instead of an intern. Your opinions are valued and you are given tasks that suit your career development.
Support & Guidance
I couldn’t thank my manager enough for the support I received throughout my placement. Every question was answered and if I was struggling, they were there to help. Whether that be information on the industry or specific to my role, my manager was there to guide me.
Culture
Everyone was so friendly and supportive throughout my placement. No matter their experience or level in the company, they were approachable.
Your Impressions
I throughly enjoyed my internship at Volvo Penta, I was respected and valued as a team member. I got to learn new skills that are now crucial to my career. Despite having to work from home during my placement, the team made me feel apart of everything and I never felt out of the loop with tasks/project. Something to be admired, especially when working from home was new to everyone.
