Overview
Investment banking summer analyst at RBC Capital Markets London office. Role is to assist the team (analysts and associates) on an adhoc basis with presenting specific financial or company information in PowerPoint and conducting financial analyses in excel.
Skills
Developed attention to detail, teamwork, analytical skills, time management, working under pressure
Responsibilities
Was given much responsibility. Was able to join weekly client calls (with a CEO and CFO) from a project I was helping out with. Truly felt part of the team and part of RBC from the very first day.
Support & Guidance
You should be able to work independently however when I had a specific question I was always able to reach out to analysts/associates
Culture
Non-hierarchical, super friendly, respectful, collaborative culture. Compared to different investment banks I feel that RBC is more inclusive and diverse.
Your Impressions
I greatly enjoyed the internship and would highly recommend it. Amazing atmosphere, truly friendly and collaborative yet hardworking environment.
