    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • On a day-to-day basis, I assisted members of the team in analysing policy documents and consultations released by the government. I also prepared a number of briefings for senior leaders in the business for meetings with external stakeholders and industry groups. I attended team meetings and meetings with people from across the business to work on projects related to helping the company maintain its reputation with government stakeholders.

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to Visa
  • Be yourself in the application process! Even if you don't know much about the industry going in (I certainly didn't), take everything as an opportunity to learn and be curious. Make the most of Visa University in your first few weeks to get up to speed on payments, and definitely take the time to have a chat with everyone in your team.
