Overview
The programme lasted 2 days, and involved group tasks, divisional presentations and panel discussions. Candidates were able to get a full understanding of the firm's culture and its different roles through these activities.
Skills
Taking part in a trading exercise was a great way to learn more about the markets. This created an interactive environment for candidates through which we were able to react to news and make group decisions.
Business Insight
This programme was exceptional in offering insight into the firm despite it being 2 days and in a virtual environment. Every business representative was eager to help and explained their role and day-to-day activities.
Culture
The culture at the firm is incredibly friendly. This was voiced by business representatives who were new to the firm and also by those who had been at RBC for over a decade.
Your Impressions
Considering the virtual environment and 2 day programme, candidates covered an enormous variety of things. I'm grateful for having the opportunity to interact with business representatives as well as with other candidates. This created a great and friendly environment. The exclusively female graduate panel was a real highlight too.
Yes
It's important to know why you are interested in the industry and in the firm in particular. Being able to articulate why is key.
