Overview
On top of being a key member within the Operations side of HR and ensuring that day-to-day admin is completed, I am also heavily involved with the monitoring/analytics of Sickness and we are currently in the process of creating a new Sickness Policy. Additional to this, I am also tasked with improving the Employee Benefits Package; I am researching potential Gym Membership schemes as well as an Electric Vehicle Salary Sacrifice Scheme
Skills
My time here so far has been extremely beneficial and I have greatly developed my current skillset - both work-related and non-work-related. I have learnt great skills such as how to use the many systems that we currently have in place, ranging from the Time and Attendance Management System to the HR Connect System. I have been hugely present on various excel spreadsheets with various formulas in place so i have also learnt great amounts here
Responsibilities
I have been given a lot of responsibility within the HR team across all different areas of the business. I have been greatly involved with a Sickness Project in which the Sickness Policy is under current change. This has been very interesting to be a part of as its insightful to understand the implications of sickness on a business. Additional to this, I've been given my own project of improving the Employee Benefits Package
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support from within the HR team, whether that be my line manager or a different colleague and as a result have developed strong workplace bonds with my work peers and other placement students
Culture
The culture within the company is different between each department however generally i would say it is a good healthy work environment
